YES Featured on This is New England NBC10

October 22, 2018 by Jamie Burch Leave a Comment

On Sunday, October 21, Youth Enrichment Services (YES) was featured on NBC10’s This is New England. Latoyia Edwards hosts the long-time public affairs and community show featuring all things New England.

The segment featuring YES shows a video narrated by YES youth, alumni, board members, and Executive Director, Bryan Van Dorpe.  Individuals reflected on YES’s 50th Anniversary and discussed what YES means to them and the impact it has on their lives. “My father, Richard Williams, was the founder of Youth Enrichment Services.  His legacy lives on by inspiring youth to get an experience outside of their immediate environment and to gain self-confidence and leadership skills” says the son of YES founder and current Trustee, Mark Williams.

Show host, Latoyia Edwards, is a YES alumni. She remembers going on a ski trip when she was 12 years old while growing up in Boston and the positive impact that the experience had on her as a child.
