Youth Enrichment Services (YES) received a grant from the AKC Fund to support the Operations SnowSports program, which includes downhill skiing, snowboarding, and cross country skiing. The grant award was used to purchase much-needed ski helmets for use by YES youth. YES Director of Programs & Operations, Laura Neubauer, says “Helmets and related snowsports gear provide for our youth’s physical needs which in turn opens the door for learning snow sports and having fun!” These new helmets are particularly important as they enable YES to provide a safer experience for our youth on the slopes.
