Dear YES Families and Friends, Right now is an exciting time for Youth Enrichment Services (YES). As you may know, after many years of searching for a new home, a joint partnership development site has been identified in Jamaica Plain at 267 Amory Street. We are confident that our new home will increase YES’s visibility as a leader in the youth development field in Boston with additional space, accessibility for bus and car drop off/pick up as well as proximity to the MBTA Orange Line, and improved opportunities for families in need of our services. YES’s current facility is too small to safely accommodate our youth with dozens of high school youth participating in our year-round, on-site leadership development program and weekly off-site adventure experiences for hundreds each season. YES has received overwhelmingly positive support for our future relocation from our families, leaders in the community, and volunteers. Moving will enable YES to expand programming, serve hundreds of additional Boston young people per year, and significantly strengthen the future of the organization. Here are our most recent updates: Groundbreaking for YES’s new home took place on January 29, 2025 with the estimated date of construction completion to be mid-2026. We plan to continue our full slate of programming during this exciting and busy time and up until we move to the new location. YES’s current facility at 412 Massachusetts Ave in the South End is on the market – the proceeds from the sale of the building will provide critical funding support for the new site’s construction. Please contact me ([email protected]) with any questions. I invite you to visit the YES website (www.yeskids.org/the-future-of-yes) to learn more about the project and for ways to participate. We still need help in reaching our fundraising goal! We still need help in reaching our fundraising goal! Thank you to our families and the entire YES community for its past, present, and future support of YES!
