YES is pleased to announce that our organization was selected to receive a $30,000 grant issued by the National Recreation Foundation through the Tom’s of Maine Get into Nature grant program.
Funds from this generous grant will directly support YES’s outdoor enrichment and leadership development programs. We could not be more grateful for the foundation’s support!
“This generous award will be instrumental in our ability to bring more than 1,200 Boston youth into the outdoors for impactful programming,” says YES Executive Director, Bryan Van Dorpe. “We provide year-round opportunities for young people to get outdoors, including skiing, snowboarding, hiking, biking, kayaking, running, and more — so it is an honor to receive this grant and be recognized as an organization providing equitable access to nature for youth from underrepresented communities.”
Thank you to the National Recreation Foundation for its recognition and generous support of YES’s mission to help inspire youth through outdoor experiences and leadership opportunities that build confidence and prepare them to summit life’s challenges.
