YES celebrates the life of 19-year-old teen volunteer, Clay Soper, who unexpectedly passed away over the weekend. Clay was active in YES’s Junior Volunteer Program throughout high school and college, a passionate skier, and a lover of the outdoors. “On behalf of all of us at YES, we offer my heartfelt condolences to the Soper family for the tragic loss of their son, Clay,” says Bryan Van Dorpe, Executive Director. “Clay was an inspirational volunteer at YES, openly sharing his knowledge of skiing and teamwork with the young skiers at YES.”
We are here to support the young people who knew and volunteered alongside Clay. We encourage anyone who needs assistance to reach out and talk with a member of YES’s Program Staff. During the week of July 20th, YES staff will be available until 6pm or contact Shiona ([email protected]) for additional times. As we grieve the loss of Clay, we are committed to supporting one another and celebrating the joy he brought to others doing what he loved most.
