YES Executive Director, Bryan Van Dorpe, contributed to a Boston Globe article about the cuts in federal funding for parks. In the article, Bryan comments that reducing federal funding to state parks will be a severe loss for inner city youth. Without federal funding, Boston-area youth will never have access to nature. In the long run, diminished funding will mean diminished access in the long run to places where youths could hike, camp, rock climb, and snowboard.
