In October 2018, Youth Enrichment Services (YES) Executive Director Bryan Van Dorpe celebrated 10 years in his leadership position at YES. Bryan succeeded Mary Williams when she retired in fall of 2008.
Bryan has brought YES to new heights through his vision, drive, and passion. In response to community needs, he has increased the number of youth served by growing its programming, staffing, board leadership, and budget. When he began, YES’s operating budget was $800,000; today, it is more than twice that at almost $1.9 million. Staffing has tripled, from five to 15, including two recently added positions: Community Outreach Coordinator and Director of Impact & Evaluation, roles critical to engaging YES’s target population and evaluating outcomes. The Board of Directors has transformed from a three-member board to 15 members with meaningful community and effective philanthropic representatives. Bryan has also developed an active Board of Trustees and Advisory Council to further support YES and build a leadership pipeline.
Bryan was presented with an appreciation plaque at a board meeting to celebrate his 10 year anniversary with YES. Thank you for your decade of leadership and dedication to YES youth, Bryan!
