This past March, Team YES rallied together to participate in the 10th Annual Harpoon Shamrock Splash presented by Save the Harbor/Save the Bay. The Shamrock Splash raises money to fund free events at the public beaches in the region from Nahant down to Nantasket. Participants braved the cold water of Boston Harbor and surrounding beaches on Sunday, March 8 as they plunged for a cause, followed by a winter beach party featuring food, drinks, and a costume contest.
Team YES did an outstanding job this year exceeding their fundraising goal for a total of $3,600. In addition, Team YES was the third overall top fundraising team. YES Volunteer and Adventure Programs Manager, Ethan George, was the fourth over top individual fundraiser, raising a total of $2,130 for Team YES. Funds raised by Team YES will benefit YES summer programs.
