YES Track and Field 12 & under group win BAA Relay

April 21, 2014 by Jamie Burch

The 2014 Marathon Weekend was a moving and inspirational weekend for YES. Youth from the YES Track and Field team competed in the BAA Relay on Saturday, April 19.  The YES 12 year and under Track and Field group finished first for the very first time. For more photos from the BAA Relay Race, check out our Track and Field Facebook album!

Coach Bryan Van Dorpe and Coach Tiffany Spearman with the BAA Relay Team

Two days later, on Marathon Monday, Kristen Kenny and Frank Muller ran the Boston Marathon for YES. Kristen and Frank raised over $14,000 altogether for Youth Enrichment Services. Both marathoners finished the race with a smile on their faces. While the 2014 Boston Marathon was Frank’s 64th Marathon, this was Kristen’s very first marathon! Congratulations to you both. You are role models for our youth, and have shown them that they too can achieve their goals through hard work and perseverance.
